Ukrainian drones strike critical infrastructure in occupied Crimea: large-scale attack on oil terminal and energy facilities

Chas Pravdy - 13 October 2025 11:23

On the night of October 13, Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles operated by units of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces conducted a targeted assault on strategic facilities located in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to sources, among the targeted objects were an oil terminal in Feodosiya and several infrastructure sites, including a 220 kV substation ‘Kafa’ and a 330 kV substation ‘Simferopol.’ The attack on the oil depot resulted in a massive fire affecting at least five tanks, leading to severe ecological and economic consequences.

At the same time, the substation ‘Kafa’ sustained damage to power transformers, control and distribution units, which caused temporary power outages and voltage fluctuations.

Explosions also occurred at the ‘Simferopol’ substation, further complicating the energy supply situation.

Ukrainian security officials affirm that these actions are part of ongoing efforts to weaken the enemy’s military, logistical, and economic capabilities, and similar strikes will continue to disable enemy infrastructure and hinder their capacity to wage war against Ukraine.
