Russian missile strikes on Kharkiv cause widespread destruction and blackouts

On the evening of October 13, Russian forces launched another missile attack on the city of Kharkiv, utilizing guided aerial bombs.

The attack targeted the densely populated Sloiobodskyi district, where one of the bombs hit a medical facility, resulting in significant damage.

Preliminary reports indicate at least four civilians injured, with parts of the city experiencing power outages.

Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed that several industrial structures were destroyed, and a large fire broke out in the Saltivskyi district due to the attack.

Additionally, at least 12 private vehicles were damaged, contributing to the city’s turmoil.

Local residents also report major electrical disruptions, complicating everyday life.

Terekhov added that three districts of Kharkiv have been partially de-energized due to the strikes, creating additional challenges for residents and emergency services.
