Russian Drones Continue Terrorizing Sumy Region: Civilians Injured and Vehicles Destroyed
On October 12, renewed attacks by Russian unmanned aerial vehicles struck the Sumy region, causing injuries among civilians.
According to Oleg Grygorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, during a drone strike in Yunakivska community, two local residents—a 50-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman—were wounded.
They were promptly hospitalized, and their condition is considered moderate.
Authorities urge residents of border communities, including Yunakivska, to refrain from returning to affected or dangerous areas until the situation is clarified.
Grygorov emphasizes that the enemy continues deliberate attacks on civilian infrastructure and civilian populations, urging caution.
Since early October, five civilians have been killed and 44 wounded, including five children.
Yesterday, a drone attack destroyed a vehicle near the Stetskivskyi старостат, but fortunately, no injuries occurred.
Earlier, a series of explosions hit Kharkiv, as the Russians launched drone strikes on the city, underscoring the ongoing escalation of hostilities in eastern and northern Ukraine.
