Kharkiv Attack: Drone Strikes Dormitory in Kyivskyi District

Chas Pravdy - 13 October 2025 13:26

Kharkiv has once again experienced a significant attack by Russian occupation forces.

Around 9:20 a.m., in the city’s central Kyivskyi district, a Russian UAV carried out a targeted strike on a local university dormitory.

As a result, windows and the building’s facade were damaged, and several cars parked nearby were also affected.

According to Oleh Syniehuob, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, emergency services and law enforcement swiftly responded to the incident, conducting investigations and evacuations.

Preliminary reports indicate that the attack was carried out using an FPV drone—a small reconnaissance aircraft designed for combat purposes.

This event has raised concerns among residents, especially since the building houses internally displaced persons and students.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.

Over recent months, Kharkiv has been subjected to regular attacks by Russian forces, causing widespread destruction of residential and public facilities, which continues to create a tense situation in the city.

Local authorities urge residents to remain calm and follow safety protocols as recovery and investigative measures are underway.
