Chas Pravdy - 12 October 2025 14:19

The Ukrainian armed forces continue their active operations in the southern front, successfully liberating several settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

According to Valentyn Manko, head of the assault units’ command, Ukrainian troops have secured control of Mкіі Щербаки, Щербаки, and partly Stepove, advancing by 3.5 kilometers and extending the front line by over five kilometers.

He emphasized that the operation has been successful: the enemy has suffered losses, many soldiers have been taken prisoner, and Ukrainian defenders are committed to continuing their offensive.

“We liberated Miki Shcherbaki, Shcherbaki, and partly Stepove, and we are still pushing forward.

I believe this is just the beginning of a series of liberating actions in this region,” Manko stated.

A video published by Battalion Commander Oleksandr Kovalenko shows Ukrainian fighters raising the national flag in Miki Shcherbaki, confirming the operational success.

Tensions escalate on the battlefield as Russia relocates additional troops to intensify fighting in the Zaporizhzhia sector.

Strategic movements are confirmed by Army Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi, who noted that Russian forces are transferring reserves from other regions, including Sumy, preparing for new offensives.
