Russian Shelling of Kupiansk Claims Lives and Leaves City in Ruins
On October 12th, in the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, which remains under constant military activity, another attack was carried out by Russian forces.
Russian shells and missiles struck residential districts again, leading to tragic consequences — a 49-year-old woman was killed on the spot, and a 63-year-old local resident sustained multiple injuries.
The Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office reported this.
The injured man was quickly transported to a medical facility for necessary treatment, but his condition remains critical.
Andrii Kanashyevich, head of the district military administration, warned that due to the ongoing security threats, humanitarian aid delivery to Kupiansk will be reduced or halted.
Daily, around 30-40 Russian soldiers infiltrate the city, further destabilizing the situation.
According to Russian military command, battalions are throwing entire units into the fight for key positions.
Residents report damage to homes and infrastructure as the city’s streets turn into battlegrounds.
Russian troops have reportedly ordered their soldiers to execute men immediately on the spot, while women and children are used as human shields during combat operations.
This situation deeply troubles the local population, who are forced to survive amid destruction and danger, facing daily threats to their lives.
