Russian Drones Attack Chernihiv: Three Injured and Extensive Destruction
On Sunday, October 12, Russian forces again launched a large-scale attack on the Chernihiv region using strike drones, resulting in significant destruction and three injuries among local residents.
According to the city military administration of Chernihiv, at least two explosions were reported in the regional center, causing panic and infrastructure damage.
Preliminary data indicate damage to residential buildings and energy facilities, with the number of injured standing at three people who sustained various degrees of wounds.
Emergency services are currently assessing the extent of the destruction and providing assistance to the injured.
This is not the first attack recently, as Russian troops regularly strike energy and transport infrastructure in the region, devastating local life and causing power outages.
For example, last night, the Russians targeted energy facilities in the Nizhyn district, sparking a large-scale fire at an oil depot.
Additionally, just days earlier, railway infrastructure was damaged, complicating logistics and support for the region.
The Russians also attacked gas stations, vehicles, and residential buildings in Horodnia municipality, Semenivka, and Novhorod-Siobirske, worsening the humanitarian situation in the area.
