Chas Pravdy - 12 October 2025 13:19

The Kyiv region experienced new damages and injuries as a result of a severe attack by Russian forces.

On Sunday, October 12, the aggressor’s armed forces launched a large-scale drone-kamikaze strike targeting critical energy infrastructure across the region.

One of the attacked sites was a substation in the Boryspil district, which sustained significant damage during the assault.

As a result of the attack, two power company workers from DTEK were injured and promptly transported to hospital for emergency treatment.

According to Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, one of the injured sustained injuries to his ear, as well as cuts and bruises on his legs and arms, while the other suffered shrapnel wounds to the legs, arms, chest, and head.

Medical personnel are currently assessing the full extent of the damage, and further information will be released later.

This attack underscores the ongoing threat to Ukraine’s energy security and highlights the urgent need for strengthened protection measures for critical infrastructure.

Authorities continue to urge citizens to stay vigilant and for energy companies to improve security protocols to prevent such incidents in the future.
