Ukrainian Government Implements New System to Enhance Evacuation Coordination and Support for Frontline Residents

Chas Pravdy - 11 October 2025 19:29

The Ukrainian government is actively working on implementing a modern and comprehensive system to manage the evacuation process of populations from dangerous and occupied territories.

According to First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, this initiative aims to significantly improve the efficiency and safety of evacuations from frontline zones.

The newly created tool, called the State Information System for Evacuation Coordination and Assistance, is designed to streamline and structure these complex operations.

It involves a clear distribution of responsibilities among various government agencies, each responsible for different stages of the process.

Specifically, the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure will oversee strategic management via the Coordination Headquarters, while the Ministry of Social Policy will handle social support and reintegration efforts.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) will coordinate the technical aspects of evacuation and ensure safety protocols are followed, providing timely alerts to residents.

Local military administrations will organize collection points, transportation, and basic amenities for evacuees.

The National Social Service of Ukraine will supervise multidisciplinary teams comprising social workers, psychologists, legal professionals, and medical specialists to ensure personalized assistance.

The centralization and coordination of these efforts are expected to significantly increase the effectiveness of aid and make the evacuation process safer and more organized for thousands of Ukrainians forced to leave their homes due to ongoing conflict.

Recent reports indicate that over 100,000 residents have already been evacuated from frontline regions, with numbers expected to grow as support measures continue to expand.
