Russian Forces Attack Odessa’s Energy Infrastructure: Over Fifty Settlements Without Power
On the night of October 11, Russian occupying forces launched a missile and drone strike on critical energy infrastructure facilities in the city of Odessa and its region.
The attack resulted in damage to several key objects, causing widespread power outages.
According to the State Emergency Service and Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, fires broke out at energy infrastructure sites within Odessa, including a three-story hotel and restaurant complex.
The fires were quickly extinguished, with two people rescued; however, a 47-year-old woman sustained injuries.
Local authorities report that 44 settlements in the region are left without electricity, creating significant difficulties for residents and local communities, reducing safety and comfort levels.
This is not the first energy attack from Russia, highlighting the urgent need to strengthen energy resilience and prepare for similar threats in the future.
