Russian Airstrikes on Kostiantynivka: Casualties and Civilian Injuries
On Saturday, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the territory of the Holy Ioan Pochayivsky Monastery in the city of Kostiantynivka.
As a result, two local residents were killed, and four others sustained serious injuries of varying degrees.
According to Sergey Gorbunov, head of the Kostiantynivka city military administration, the attack was executed using a FAB-250 type bomb, which caused extensive damage and affected nearby private residences.
Local residents, who were in the vicinity or affected by the blast, were promptly evacuated by police officers and transported to hospitals in Druzhkivka for medical assistance.
The explosion’s shockwave damaged the foundations and facades of several houses and partially destroyed the sacred site.
Additionally, another individual was injured in a different attack involving a guided FAB-250 bomb, and he sought medical help on his own.
Preliminary reports indicate that these actions resulted in the destruction of nine private homes and significant damage to the religious site, causing widespread concern among residents and faith communities.
