Drones strike oil refinery in Bashkortostan: another episode in series of attacks
On the morning of October 11, Ukrainian special forces from Center ‘A’ carried out a targeted and daring strike on a strategically significant site — the Bashneft-Ufa oil refinery located in the Russian city of Ufa, in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
This city is situated over 1,400 kilometers from Ukrainian borders, and this incident underscores the active efforts of Ukrainian forces to target resources and infrastructure of occupying authorities.
According to information obtained from an SBU source, firefighters responded to the explosions at the facility, and a large column of smoke rose above the site.
Preliminary reports indicate that a fire broke out in the area of the crude oil processing unit ELOU-AWT-6 following the strike.
The source emphasizes that this is the third drone attack on Bashkortostan within the last 30 days, highlighting a systematic campaign.
These attacks also reveal that Ufa and its resources remain crucial for supplying fuel to the enemy, posing additional risks to the occupying administration and infrastructure.
