Belarus conducts large-scale military readiness check amid joint Russian-Belarusian exercises
Starting from October 11, Belarus launched a comprehensive military readiness check conducted by its Ministry of Defense upon the instructions of President and Supreme Commander Alexander Lukashenko.
According to official sources, several military units will undertake measures to elevate their forces to the highest level of combat preparedness.
This process involves marching to designated areas, executing orders for transitioning into combat mode, and practicing actual combat scenarios during specialized drills.
The entire operation is overseen by the Security Council Secretariat of Belarus.
It is important to note that this readiness check takes place against the backdrop of the recent joint strategic exercises ‘Zapad-2025,’ which were held from September 12 to 16, involving Belarusian and Russian armed forces.
These developments signal increased military activity and heightened preparedness in the region, raising concerns among the international community and neighboring countries about potential escalations.
