Innovative Bionic Humanoid Unitree H2: The Future of Robotics Is Near

Chas Pravdy - 22 October 2025 10:33

Chinese company Unitree Robotics has officially unveiled their next-generation bionic humanoid robot — the Model H2.

This high-tech device impresses with its modern design, which closely resembles human proportions.

Standing at 180 centimeters tall and weighing approximately 70 kilograms, it effectively mirrors human body features.

Demonstration videos showcase the robot executing a variety of movements with exceptional smoothness, maintaining balance and demonstrating a high degree of joint articulation and natural motion.

While detailed technical specifications remain undisclosed, it is evident that the Unitree H2 can perform complex dance routines and even combat maneuvers, opening wide possibilities for its application in entertainment, security, and humanitarian missions.

Furthermore, compared to its predecessor H1, the new model features a more human-like bionic face, enhancing its realism and suitability for integration into everyday life.

The previous H1 model gained widespread recognition after performing a dance routine at the Spring Festival Gala 2025 in China.

It was the first full-sized humanoid robot capable of running, standing at 178 centimeters tall, weighing 47 kilograms, and reaching a top speed of 3.3 meters per second, setting a world record for its category.

Notably, TIME magazine’s annual “Best Inventions of 2025” ranking highlighted several robotics innovations, including humanoid models such as Unitree R1 — an affordable option for researchers — and Figure 03 by Figure AI, a household robot capable of performing daily chores with significant autonomy.

These advancements underscore the rapid growth of robotics technology and the expanding role of artificial intelligence across various sectors.
