Microsoft Announces Major Windows 11 Update: Copilot Gains Voice Control, New AI Features, and Expanded Integration
Microsoft has unveiled a highly anticipated comprehensive update for Windows 11, significantly enhancing the capabilities of its built-in assistant, Copilot, and introducing innovative artificial intelligence features.
This upgrade aims to make system interaction more user-friendly and efficient, allowing users not only to perform daily tasks faster but also to automate various processes and interact directly with multiple devices using voice commands.
According to company representatives, Copilot can now be activated with the simple phrase ‘Hey Copilot,’ opening access to a wide range of functions without the need to press buttons or manually open applications.
The new feature functions on all Windows 11 computers and supports voice control directly from the audio system without additional user actions.Additionally, Microsoft is expanding the capabilities of Copilot Vision — an innovative system that analyzes on-screen content and responds to user queries related to displayed images.
This feature will now be available in all markets where Windows Copilot operates.
Furthermore, Windows Insiders will gain the ability to interact with Vision not only via voice but also through text inputs, further enhancing this technology’s versatility.Microsoft aims to strengthen its position in the artificial intelligence race, as competitors Google and Meta are actively integrating AI into their products.
Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s Consumer Marketing Director, stated: ‘We believe we are on the brink of an era where AI will seamlessly integrate into hundreds of millions of daily interfaces used by people around the world.’ The company also launched an experimental mode called Copilot Actions, enabling AI to perform real-world tasks directly from the desktop—such as booking restaurant tables or placing orders—without opening a browser or separate apps.Microsoft emphasizes that Copilot’s functions will operate with strict security and control, with agents accessing only data that users voluntarily provide.
This approach aims to ensure maximum safety during usage.
Additionally, the update features Gaming Copilot, a new tool for Xbox Ally console gamers, providing real-time tips, advice, and technical support via AI during gameplay. Finally, it is important to remember that Microsoft officially ended support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025.
Currently, over 43% of global users are no longer receiving security updates for this operating system, leaving many vulnerable to cyber threats.
