At the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Championship held in Jakarta, Indonesia, Ukrainian athlete Nazar Chepurny demonstrated himself as one of the most talented and skilled gymnasts of today.

In this prestigious competition, he made an impressive debut, winning a bronze medal in the vault event – one of the most technically demanding and intense disciplines for gymnasts.

After two high-quality vaults, earning an average score of 14.483, Nazar finished just behind two competitors: Armenian Arthur Davtyan with a score of 14.833 and Filipino Carlos Yulo with 14.866.

This achievement not only underscores the high level of preparation among Ukrainian gymnasts but also marked Ukraine’s first and only medal at the 2025 World Championships, highlighting the country’s progress in the sport.

It is worth noting that prior to the competitions, Ukrainian male gymnasts, along with their coaching staff, faced political pressure and considered boycotting the European Championship but still competed successfully.

Earlier, Ukraine also secured another medal at the championships when Nazar Chepurny won bronze in the vault during the May event in Germany.

Discussions in the sports community also cover the issue of Ukrainian gymnast Kovtun’s official change of citizenship, which has attracted significant public attention.
