Ukrainian football star and midfielder Georgiy Sudakov showcased his exceptional talent during the recent Portuguese Cup match, contributing significantly to Benfica’s victory.
After returning from an injury layoff, he started in the away fixture against Chaves in the Round of 32 and demonstrated his playmaking abilities.
The game ended with a confident 2-0 win for the Lisbon club.
At the 79th minute, Sudakov provided a precise assist that enabled Pavlidis to score the second goal, confirming his high skill level and importance to the team.
Notably, Benfica has a history of featuring talented Ukrainian players, including goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin, who was also on the bench for this match.
Trubin moved from Shakhtar Donetsk to Benfica on a loan deal worth €6.75 million, with an obligatory purchase next summer for €20.25 million.
Shakhtar also stands to receive 25% of any future transfer fee.
