The decisive match in the qualification cycle for Euro 2027 ended unfavorably for Ukraine’s youth football team.

On Tuesday, October 14, under the guidance of Unai Melgosa, the Ukrainian U-21 team faced Croatia’s squad in Gornja Radgona.

The game concluded with a narrow 0:1 defeat for the Ukrainians.

The only goal of the match was scored by Leon Grić in the 54th minute, after a powerful free kick he managed to finish effectively, converting his chance.

This game marked the third in the group stage for Ukraine’s U-21s, who previously achieved a 4:0 victory over Lithuania and played a 3:3 draw against Hungary.

After three matches, the Ukrainian team holds 4 points and ranks third in their group, which remains highly competitive.

Their next game is scheduled for November 14 against Turkey’s youth squad.

Notably, the starting lineup featured some adjustments, as the team continues to strive for better results in hopes of qualifying for the tournament’s finals.
