Viktor Postol, a former WBC world champion in the light welterweight division, demonstrated that age is just a number by securing a remarkable victory in his comeback fight after a long hiatus.

The event took place at Kyiv’s Palace of Sports, where Postol faced Spanish fighter Alejandro Moi in the main bout of the evening.

The ten-round fight saw both boxers going the distance, with judges unanimously awarding victory to Postol with scores of 98:93, 100:90, and 97:93.

With this win, he claimed the IBO International title, reaffirming his skills and resilience at 41 years old.

Postol, who previously held world titles, notably won the WBC belt in October 2015 after defeating Lucas Matthysse and lost it in 2016 following a defeat by Terence Crawford.

After several years away from the ring, he returned in July 2023 with a win over Argentinean Andres Teschada.

His appearance in Kyiv marked a significant moment for boxing fans, proving that age does not limit the spirit of a true champion.

Postol stands as an example that success in sports depends on determination and hard work, not just youth.
