Rebrov’s Confidence: Expectations for the Ukrainian National Team’s Match Against Iceland

Ukrainian national team head coach Sergiy Rebrov has openly shared his confidence and expectations ahead of the upcoming match against Iceland, scheduled as part of the qualification campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In his comments, he highlighted the importance of team preparation and players’ responsibility, emphasizing their desire to display a more aggressive and purposeful game than in previous matches.

Rebrov stated that the primary goal is not only to secure a victory but also to showcase team spirit and a desire to redeem themselves for past setbacks.

The match is set for Friday, October 10, in Reykjavik, with kickoff at 9:45 PM Kyiv time.

Ukraine’s qualification campaign started with a defeat against France and a draw with Azerbaijan, while Iceland lost to France but secured a commanding win over Azerbaijan.

The coach expressed strong belief in his players’ capabilities and confidence that the team will come out mentally prepared and demonstrate their best football to achieve the desired result.
