Tyson Fury prepares for a comeback to the boxing ring in 2026

Chas Pravdy - 07 October 2025 18:44

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is actively discussing the possibility of returning to professional boxing in the coming years.

According to information provided by the boxer’s promoter, Frank Warren, the 37-year-old athlete plans to resume his career and fight as early as 2026.

Warren revealed that he communicated multiple times with Fury last week and received a clear confirmation that Fury is eager to get back into the ring.

Together, they discussed possible plans and preparations for the upcoming bout, taking into account the busy year Fury had.

Notably, this year was intense for him: he did not fight, but was actively involved in creative projects — making documentaries and other ventures.

This busy schedule temporarily delayed his return to the sport.

However, according to the promoter, Fury is now firmly set on returning to the professional level and staging a fight next year, with organizers working on potential scenarios to realize this plan.

In 2024, Fury lost twice to Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk by judges’ decision, losing his world titles.

This confrontation caused significant resonance in the boxing world and is considered one of the most notable heavyweight bouts in recent decades.

Following these events, Fury announced his retirement, but new discussions about his possible comeback have emerged, which could alter the boxing landscape in the coming years.
