Ukrainian footballer Artem Smolyakov, a defender for the Los Angeles team in North America, once again demonstrated his high skill level and importance to his club by showing a productive performance on the field.

In the recent MLS regular season match against St.

Louis City, he contributed significantly to the team’s convincing 3-0 victory by providing two assists to star teammate Son Hín Min.

Their collaboration helped Los Angeles secure its third win of the season, and Smolyakov continues to impress with his consistent contributions — having played 26 matches this season, he has scored one goal and provided four assists.

In mid-September, this talented Ukrainian player already assisted Son in a game against San Jose Earthquakes.

Previously, in late February, Artem transferred to Los Angeles from Zhytomyr Polissya, with a transfer fee reported by Transfermarkt to be 2 million euros.

Meanwhile, 33-year-old Son Hín Min left the Premier League and joined Los Angeles this summer, with reports indicating a record-breaking $27 million paid by the club for his transfer, making it one of the biggest MLS deals this year.

This move highlights the club’s ambitions to compete for top positions in the league and strengthen its standing in global football.

It once again proves the high level of Ukrainian footballers who continue to make significant impacts worldwide, inspiring youth and fans alike with their achievements abroad and raising Ukraine’s reputation in international sports.
