Italy clinches its second consecutive Volleyball World Championship title

The Italian men’s volleyball team once again demonstrated its strength and skill by winning back-to-back world championship titles.
On Sunday, September 28, on the Philippines, the final match of the 2025 men’s Volleyball World Championship took place, featuring Italy and Bulgaria.
The game proved to be intensely competitive and spectacular, yet Italy’s team showcased superior mastery, securing victory in four sets with a score of 3:1 (substantiated by tactical and technical superiority).
The first two sets ended at 25:21 and 25:17 respectively in favor of Italy, while Bulgaria managed to rally in the third set, winning 25:17.
However, Italy reclaimed control in the fourth set, finishing the match with a commanding 25:10 victory.
This is Italy’s second consecutive and fifth overall world championship title, further solidifying their dominance in global volleyball.
Poland took bronze medals after defeating the Czech Republic in the third-place playoff.
It is also worth noting that Ukraine participated in this year’s tournament but failed to advance past the group stage, losing to Italy and Belgium but defeating Algeria.
The tournament once again highlighted the high level of international volleyball and fierce competition for the coveted title.
Previously, Italy also made history by winning the women’s Volleyball World Championship, confirming its status as a leading volleyball nation.
