Ukraine’s Youth National Team Prepares for the 2025 World Cup: Key Matches, Results, and Prospects

Soon, a new major football tournament will take center stage— the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025.
The Ukrainian youth football team is already actively preparing for this significant event scheduled to take place in Chile from September 27 to October 19, 2025.
Ukraine earned its right to participate after a strong performance at the UEFA U-19 European Championship 2024, where the team reached the semi-finals, demonstrating high-level skills and future potential.
This tournament gathers the world’s best youth teams, including Ukraine, which will compete in Group B alongside South Korea, Paraguay, and Panama.
According to the schedule, matches start on September 27.
The first game will see Ukraine facing South Korea, followed by a match against Panama a few days later.
The final group stage match will be against Paraguay on October 3.
It is crucial to highlight that the top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, along with the four best third-placed teams, offering additional chances to progress.
For Ukraine, this will be the fifth time participating in a youth World Championship.
The country aims to achieve new victories and elevate its youth football standards.
This tournament also offers a valuable platform for young talents to showcase their skills internationally, gain experience, and prepare for senior national team competitions.
Ukraine secured its participation in Chile thanks to its successful run, including reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA U-19 Euro 2024.
This achievement was a significant milestone for Ukrainian football, and now it provides a stellar opportunity to prove their capabilities on the world stage.
However, despite the successes, the team recently suffered a defeat to the Netherlands at the UEFA U-20 Euro 2025, prompting players and coaches to analyze and learn from the experience for future tournaments.
Additionally, this recent setback highlights the importance of continuous training and preparation aimed at improving performance and reaching new heights in international football.
