Recent missile and drone attacks from Russia have once again caused significant disruptions to Ukraine’s railway infrastructure.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia leadership, numerous passenger and freight trains have experienced delays exceeding three hours due to power outages caused by targeted strikes on transportation facilities.

The most affected routes are those heading towards Dnipro, where delays have reached critical levels.

Oleksandr Pershotsky, CEO of Ukrzaliznytsia, shared updates on Facebook, indicating that all available resources are being mobilized to restore train operations as quickly as possible.

The affected trains include routes from Lviv to Zaporizhzhia and Pavlohrad, Zaporizhzhia to Pavlohrad and Lviv, Kyiv to Kropyvnytskyi, and Lviv to Dnipro.

Additional delays on other routes are possible, but the company is actively deploying backup locomotives and crews to minimize disruptions and ensure transportation continuity.

Detailed information about delayed trains can be found through official online platforms.

The escalation of attacks has been intensified by drone strikes that hit critical railway infrastructure in the region.

The Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburetets, confirmed that the region was struck by attack drones, creating further complications for mobility and logistics.

Ukraine has faced such challenges for several months, as Russia increased missile and drone assaults, especially targeting crucial railway hubs, including in July this year.

Military and railway personnel are working together to mitigate the consequences of these attacks and restore transportation links as swiftly as possible.
