Zinedine Zidane Returns to Coaching: To Lead France National Team After Long Break
The legendary former coach of Real Madrid and one of the greatest French footballers in history, Zinedine Zidane, has made a surprising move by deciding to return to coaching.
Reliable sources report that the 53-year-old specialist will soon take charge of the French national team, turning down offers from top European clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
This decision marks a significant milestone in his coaching career after his successful tenure in Madrid, where he led the team to three consecutive Champions League titles and secured two Spanish league championships with Real Madrid.
Zidane has already agreed with the French Football Federation and signed a preliminary deal.
He will become the new head coach of the national team, while current coach Didier Deschamps will step down after the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to take place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2024.
