From Stars to Rising Talent: Who Aims to Dominate Ukraine’s Premier League in 2023/2024 Season

Following the conclusion of the summer transfer window, Ukraine’s Premier League has undergone significant transformations.
A renowned statistical portal, Transfermarkt, has released an updated ranking of the most valuable footballers in the Ukrainian championship, taking into account all transfers and squad changes.
Leading this list is the central defender of Shakhtar Donetsk, Mykola Matviienko, whose market value skyrocketed to an impressive 16 million euros.
This marks a considerable increase compared to last season when his valuation was much lower, but now he has established himself as one of the top-valued players in Ukraine.In second place is Shakhtar midfielder Kauan Elias, valued at 14 million euros, while third is Dynamo Kyiv player Volodymyr Brazhko, valued at 12 million euros.
The top ten features players from both leading Ukrainian clubs, Shakhtar and Dynamo.According to Transfermarkt, the top five most valuable players in the UPL include Mykola Shaparenko from Dynamo Kyiv (11 million euros), along with Marlon Gomez and Artem Bondarenko (each valued at 10 million euros), as well as Alisson and Luka Meireles, with valuations of 9 and 8 million euros respectively.Last season saw Kyiv’s Dynamo claim their first-ever league title, while Oleksandriya finished second in the standings.
Shakhtar secured third place.
