Aртем Yashkin Joins Dynamo Kyiv Coaching Staff: A New Chapter for the Kyiv Club

Former defender and forward of Dynamo Kyiv and the Ukrainian national team, Artem Yashkin, has taken on the esteemed role of assistant coach at the Kyiv-based club.
The official website of Dynamo announced that he would be responsible for training the forwards — a crucial element in the tactical setup of the national champion.
At 50 years old, Yashkin has become part of the coaching staff under the leadership of Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, marking a new phase in his career after a successful playing period and coaching experience at Dynamo’s academy and in the Latvian club Ruse.
Yashkin played for Dynamo from 1998 to 2002, achieving three Ukrainian Premier League titles and winning the Ukrainian Cup twice.
After retiring from active play, he expanded his career internationally, playing in South Korea, Vietnam, and Latvia.
He also made 8 appearances for the Ukrainian national team.
As a coach, Yashkin gained valuable experience working with talented young players at Dynamo’s academy and in Ruse, serving as an assistant to the head coach.
Recently, Dynamo Kyiv’s coaching staff was further strengthened by the addition of Maciej Kendzior, a Polish specialist in set-piece tactics and analytics.
Under Shovkovskyi’s guidance, the team has secured four consecutive victories in the Ukrainian Premier League but faced elimination from the Champions League qualification, losing in the Europa Conference League.
These developments symbolize the club’s ongoing transformation and readiness to overcome new challenges in the upcoming season.
