Ukraine National Team in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Full Group Schedule and Key Matches

The Ukrainian national football team, under the leadership of coach Rebrov, is preparing for the extensive qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
They have been drawn into Group D, which promises to be intense and highly competitive, featuring strong national teams from France, Azerbaijan, and Iceland.
The qualification campaign kicks off in September, with the final matches of the group stage scheduled for late November.
The tournament consists of six matches, in which Ukraine aims to accumulate as many points as possible to advance to the next round.
The first game is set for September 5th at 21:45 against France, followed by a match against Azerbaijan on September 9th at the same time.
The subsequent fixtures will take place in October: October 10th in Iceland and October 13th in Kyiv, where Ukraine will face the host team and their guests respectively.
In November, two decisive matches are scheduled—November 13th against Azerbaijan and November 16th against France.
The team that finishes first in the group will earn a direct ticket to the main tournament, while the second-placed team will have a chance to qualify via playoffs.
Group D is highly competitive, and the fight for World Cup spots will be intense.
The final stage of the championship will be held from June 11 to July 19 across the USA, Canada, and Mexico, making this World Cup especially exciting for fans worldwide.
Notably, for the first time in history, the Ukrainian team has received an official bus for their matches, which is an important development for team support.
Previously, there was much discussion about Ukraine’s recent heavy loss to Belgium, which effectively ended their hopes of progressing to the elite League of Nations, but now Ukrainian fans remain hopeful as they support their team on the path toward the global football showcase.
