Kyiv’s Dynamo kicks off new season with decisive victory in Ukrainian Premier League second round

On Friday, August 8th, the city of Lviv hosted the second round of the Ukrainian Premier League, where local club Rukh faced off against the visiting Dynamo Kyiv.
The match proved to be intense and competitive, culminating in a convincing 5:1 victory for the Kyiv team.
Dynamo opened the scoring early in the game, with Mikavko scoring in the 21st minute, setting the tone for their offensive dominance.
Throughout the match, Kyiv maintained control and kept pressing for more goals.
Early in the second half, on the 47th minute, Rukh player Kholod inadvertently scored an own goal following a pass from Vivcharenko, amplifying Dynamo’s lead.
The Kyiv team’s scoring spree continued with goals from Bujalskiy, Bragaru, and Yatsyk, who each added to the tally.
Rukh scored a single consolation goal late in the match when Fal found the net at the 88th minute.
This comprehensive victory helps Dynamo assert their commanding position at the top of the league standings.
The line-ups featured goalkeeper Gereta, defenders Kopina, Slyubik, Kholod, Lyakh, Pastukh, and midfielders Pidgurskiy, Prytula, with Fal and Almazbekov leading the attack.

The team’s next match is scheduled for August 12th in Cyprus against Paphos in the Champions League qualifiers.
