Kyiv’s FC Dynamo started the new Ukrainian Premier League season with a hard-fought, yet highly valued victory, signaling their readiness for another competitive run in the national championship.

Under the guidance of Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, the team traveled to Rivne to face Veres in the opening match of the season.

The game, held in the city of Rivne, concluded in a 1-0 win for Dynamo.

The only goal of the match was scored early—on the 14th minute—by the talented young midfielder Shaparenko, who executed a precise finish from close range after a cross from Vanat.

Throughout the second half, Veres created several promising opportunities to equalize, but Dynamo’s goalkeeper Neshcheret demonstrated solid, reliable defense, fending off numerous shots.

The Kyiv team also missed chances to extend their lead, but the score remained unchanged, ending 1-0 in favor of Dynamo.

Both teams received yellow cards during the match.

This victory marks just the beginning of Dynamo’s season, as they are now preparing for their next game on Tuesday, August 5th, when they will face Cypriot club Pafos away in the Champions League qualifiers.

It is known that Dynamo Kyiv has already advanced through the preliminary rounds, defeating the Maltese team in previous UEFA qualification stages.

Additionally, recent reports confirmed the official departure of one of the most controversial legionnaires from Dynamo’s roster, a move that signals ongoing roster adjustments ahead of the upcoming season.
