Oleksandr Usyk Returns to Ukraine After Thrilling Rematch in London and Heavyweight Triumph

Following his victorious bout against British boxer Daniel Dubois on July 19 in London, Ukraine’s undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has made his return home.
This victory marked his third time securing the status of world undisputed champion and his second in the heavyweight division.
Prior to this, Usyk had held the titles in the cruiserweight category, but his recent triumph in the heavyweight class solidifies his position as one of the top fighters globally.
The rematch was a high-stakes confrontation, where in the fifth round, the Ukrainian athlete knocked out Dubois after an intense back-and-forth fight.
The journey to this decisive result began earlier in August, when their initial encounter was interrupted due to a low blow from the British boxer.
After a prolonged recovery pause, Usyk returned to finish the fight in the ninth round with a clear knockout, claiming all the belts at stake—WBA, WBC, WBO, IBO, and IBF titles.
Currently, Usyk is enjoying a well-deserved holiday in Spain, recharging before preparing for upcoming challenges.
His latest victory not only enhances his legendary status but also strengthens Ukraine’s reputation in the global sports arena.
Additionally, the World Boxing Organization has already approved his next opponent, promising an exciting future for the boxer.
Notably, Usyk has also expressed a desire to make some changes to the Ukrainian national anthem’s lyrics, sparking discussions among fans and supporters worldwide.
