According to recent reports from Portuguese media, promising Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin, currently playing for Lisbon’s Benfica, could soon make a move to the English Premier League.
Sources indicate that Manchester City is willing to pay around 55 million pounds for the 23-year-old.
If the transfer goes through, the Ukrainian international, who has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the national team, might soon find himself competing in one of the world's top football leagues.
Furthermore, there is speculation that the transfer might include a swap deal: Manchester City’s goalkeeper Ederson could potentially transfer to Benfica.
It’s noteworthy that Trubin signed a contract with Benfica until 2028 after moving from Shakhtar Donetsk.
During his time at Benfica, he has become the main goalkeeper, having played 99 matches while conceding 101 goals.
His impressive performances in international club competitions earlier this summer attracted significant attention, leading Benfica to consider selling him for a substantial fee, especially after his standout performance at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Football experts and fans alike are eagerly awaiting official confirmation of the transfer in the coming weeks.
