Renowned Spanish Club Signs Ukrainian Goalkeeper from Lviv’s Karpaty

In a significant development within European football transfer market, a well-known Spanish club has officially announced the signing of a Ukrainian goalkeeper.
The club in question is Villarreal, which has concluded a five-year contract with 21-year-old Ukrainian shot-stopper from Lviv’s Karpaty — Yakiiv Kinareykin.
Details of the transfer fee remain undisclosed, but the deal clearly marks an important milestone for both parties.
The new goalkeeper is set to join the club’s youth team, competing in the third division, which will serve as his launching pad for a promising European career.
This move is seen as a natural progression following Kinareykin’s summer transfer from Dnipro-1 to Karpaty as a free agent.
During his tenure with Lviv’s team, he played 13 matches, conceded 12 goals, and kept his goal intact in five games.
Villarreal finished the previous La Liga season in fifth place, earning a spot in the Champions League group stage and maintaining ambitions to compete at the highest European level.
Meanwhile, rumors circulated in Spanish media that the club was interested in Ukrainian national team goalkeeper Andriy Lunin from Real Madrid, but Lunin himself reportedly declined the offer.
It was previously reported that Lunin had transferred to a club in England, drawing additional attention from European football circles.
