Trump’s popularity drops to historic low: new polling data

Chas Pravdy - 03 November 2025 18:55

Recent survey results conducted by CNN/SSRS at the end of October reveal a significant decline in former U.S.

President Donald Trump’s approval ratings.

According to this data, his current approval stands at only 37%, the lowest level recorded during his second term in office.

In comparison, July’s poll showed 42% approval, with 58% expressing disapproval.

This sharp decline indicates growing electoral divisions and internal crises among his supporters. If we compare this with the beginning of Trump’s second term in February, his approval rating was higher — at 47%, with disapproval at 52%.

Furthermore, the latest poll approaches the lowest approval level since January 2021, right after the U.S.

Capitol riot, when only 34% of respondents supported his actions, while three months earlier, the figure was 42%.

Notably, support among young voters, seniors, minorities, and low-income Americans has especially declined.According to survey data, Trump’s support among 18-34-year-olds dropped to 29%, a decrease of 12 points.

Similarly, among those aged 35–49, support fell to 35%, down 14 points from February.

Among seniors 65 and older, support declined to 39%, a 14-point decrease.

Support among independent voters has also dramatically decreased from 43% to 28%, the steepest drop across all age and political groups.

Among Republicans, approval only decreased by 4 points to 84%, while support among Democrats plummeted to 3%, down 11% from February. The survey indicates that Trump’s approval ratings are nearing the lowest levels seen before his first term, reflecting widespread discontent and shifting electoral sentiments.

These rapidly changing political moods could provide opposition parties with real chances to take control of Congress in upcoming elections, potentially altering the U.S.

political landscape.
