Trump Rules Out Running for Vice President in 2028 but Keeps Open the Possibility of a Third Presidential Term
Former U.S.
President Donald Trump has made definitive statements about his future political plans, capturing the attention of the global community.
In his recent remarks, Trump explicitly ruled out the possibility of running for Vice President of the United States in the 2028 elections.
This decision appears to be a logical continuation of his political strategy following some calls from his supporters, who suggested he could assume the vice presidency or even run again for president.
According to Trump, the idea of running for vice president was proposed by his supporters and aimed to facilitate his return to power after a potential replacement of the current leader — a scenario they believed could unfold.
At the same time, Trump made it clear that he does not intend to pursue this position and hinted at a possible run for a third term as president, despite constitutional restrictions against such an attempt.
Trump emphasizes that he currently has no intention of breaking the law and seeks to maintain stability within the country’s political landscape.
It is known that at the end of March, he did not rule out running for a third term, citing ‘methods’ that might enable it, claiming he is not joking about this.
While in April he stated that it would be difficult and that he does not plan to do so, in May he again hinted at running but stressed that he intends to adhere to the constitutional limits and not seek a third term to uphold democratic principles.
