NABU transfers new case against AMCU head Pavlo Kyrylenko for corruption offenses

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has recently completed an investigation and forwarded another high-profile case to court involving Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), and his wife Alla.

The case concerns allegations of concealing significant property assets and aiding in illegal enrichment, raising serious political and corruption concerns.

According to investigators, in his 2024 electronic declaration, Pavlo Kyrylenko failed to disclose 20 real estate objects and a vehicle, which are actually used by his family and registered to his wife.

These include six apartments in Kyiv and Uzhgorod, a large house outside Kyiv covering over 220 square meters, two land plots, two garages, six parking spaces, three commercial premises totaling over 190 square meters, and a BMW X3 car.

The investigation established that Kyrylenko was involved in illicit enrichment amounting to over 72 million hryvnias through his wife’s assistance.

Currently, the case concerning illegal enrichment and false asset declaration for 2020–2023 is being reviewed in the High Anti-Corruption Court.

It is also known that his wife is implicated as an accomplice.

Kyrylenko initially had to pay a bail of 9 million hryvnias to avoid detention, but this amount was later reduced nearly 37 times—to 242,000 hryvnias.

This case emphasizes ongoing concerns about corruption within Ukrainian government institutions and the transparency of officials’ activities.
