Court Adopts Preventive Measure for Witness in NABU Case Related to Magamedrasulov
Kyiv’s Pechersk District Court has made a decision regarding the detention measure for Yusuf Mameshev, a witness in the case of NABU detective Ruslan Magamedrasulov.
According to Judge Oleg Bilocterovets, Mameshev was assigned a personal undertaking, along with restrictions such as wearing an electronic bracelet, not leaving Kyiv limits, and surrendering his foreign passport.
This decision is part of an ongoing investigation where Mameshev is suspected of providing false testimony during interrogations at the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Pechersk Court.
The witness denies any guilt and claims he is truthful, asserting that his statements have been falsified.
The investigation links Mameshev to allegations involving a former head of the Khmelnytsky MSEC, Kroupa, and a case concerning plans to sell technical hemp to Dagestan, Russia.
Mameshev clarifies that his references relate to Uzbekistan, where a state-supported procurement program exists for this crop.
In an interview with ZN.UA, he stated he has no intention of fleeing Ukraine and is willing to cooperate with authorities, insisting he speaks the truth.
He also mentioned that the case of Magamedrasulov is fabricated, based on falsified recordings of their conversations.
Meanwhile, Alexander Klymenko, head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, indicated that pressure is currently exerted on various individuals to testify about potential Russian influence within NABU.
After searches of bureau employees, many investigators have become cautious, which hampers further progress in investigations.
More details can be found in parts one and two of the interview conducted with Klymenko published in ZN.UA.
