Ukrainian Government Keeps Electricity Prices Stable Until April 2026

Chas Pravdy - 22 October 2025 20:35

The Ukrainian government has made a significant decision to maintain stable electricity prices across the country.

Taking into account the current economic circumstances and efforts to support households during the winter season, the existing tariffs have been extended until April 2026.

This means that Ukrainians will continue paying 4.32 hryvnias per kWh for electricity, with preferential rates preserved for those using electric heating.

Under the program, consumers who utilize up to 2000 kWh monthly will pay only 2.64 UAH per kWh, while those exceeding this limit will pay the standard rate of 4.32 UAH.

This decision was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko via her Telegram channel, emphasizing that this measure is part of a comprehensive support program for Ukrainians during winter.

The main goal is to reduce the financial burden on families heating their homes with electricity, especially amid rising energy prices and economic instability.

Overall, this initiative forms part of broader efforts to ensure the stability of citizens’ living standards during the challenging winter months.
