Zelensky Supports Trump’s Idea of Ceasefire and Long-term Peace Negotiations
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his support for former U.S.
President Donald Trump’s proposals regarding the need to halt hostilities along the current front line.
According to him, now is the critical time to stop where we are, as this is essential for stabilizing the situation and initiating long-term negotiations.
Zelensky emphasized that the ceasefire must be mutual, and this is a necessary first step toward real peace.The president also noted that after establishing a truce, dialogue between various groups and leaders could begin to develop a strategy for sustainable peace.
He pointed out that Russia, unfortunately, is not interested in this and that Putin is the obstacle.
Zelensky highlighted that Ukraine was not the initiator of the war and is ready for any negotiation formats that could bring the country closer to the peace it longs for.
