Fico emphasizes desire to maintain friendly relations worldwide, including with Russia and Ukraine
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico publicly expressed his wish to foster warm and friendly relations with all countries around the globe, notably with Ukraine and Russia.
According to him, Slovakia pursues a policy aimed at developing good neighborly and cooperative relations with all nations, regardless of their geographical location or political stance.
“We want to be good neighbors to everyone and promote peaceful and mutually beneficial cooperation.
This includes Russia, as well as Asian countries like China and Vietnam, who are interested in working with us,” he stressed.As part of international relations development, on October 17 in Košice, Slovak-Ukrainian intergovernmental consultations took place, where plans for cooperation and support were discussed.
It is also known that Fico previously supported the upcoming meeting between U.S.
President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.
He stated that the Slovak government is ready to provide any assistance to its partners from Hungary to organize such vital diplomatic meetings, contributing to improved international dialogue and regional stability.
