Zelensky Implements Major Personnel Changes in the National Security and Defense Council
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has carried out a significant personnel reshuffle within the framework of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
By his order, Ruslan Khomchak, who held the position of First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC since July 2021, was dismissed.
In his place, Major General Yevhen Ostrian is appointed as the new First Deputy Secretary.
Ostrian, a seasoned officer with over thirty years of military experience, will be responsible for coordinating the military sector, including all issues related to the Security and Defense Forces, as well as preparing meetings of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
Sources report that his expertise in strategic planning and defense management will strengthen Ukraine’s military capabilities during this critical period.
The personnel changes were officially announced by NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov via Facebook and through official government publications.
