Zelensky Held Second Phone Conversation in Two Days with Trump, Focusing on Security and Support
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky unexpectedly commented again on his relations with his U.S.
counterpart.
According to official sources released on Telegram, he held a second phone call with U.S.
President Donald Trump within two days.
The main topics discussed included security issues, protection of Ukrainian lives, strengthening the country’s defense capabilities, particularly air defense systems and long-range weapons.
Zelensky emphasized that both sides were satisfied with the outcomes of the conversation and agreed to continue negotiations soon to coordinate further steps in their cooperation.
He noted that Trump is well-informed about the current situation in Ukraine, and all key aspects, including the energy sector and national resilience, were thoroughly discussed.
The Ukrainian leader assured that work is ongoing, and the next phase of talks will be organized shortly to establish a foundation for ongoing support of Ukraine’s efforts.
