New Identification Procedures for Pensioners: What Citizens Need to Know
Ukraine is currently updating and improving its personal verification system for receiving pensions and social benefits.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy together with the Pension Fund of Ukraine announced new conditions and deadlines for physical identification procedures for pensioners and social assistance recipients.
Given the ongoing conflict, many citizens find themselves on temporarily occupied territories or in areas of active hostilities, making this process especially important.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, through resolution No.
1219 dated October 1, 2025, extended the identification deadline to November 1, 2025.
This extension applies to those who, since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, were registered with social services in conflict zones and could not update their data earlier.
Identification is necessary for recipients of state social assistance, persons with disabilities, and those without pension rights.
The process can be completed in person at service centers of the Pension Fund or online via digital platforms using Dіа.Pідпис or through video conferencing.
Additionally, Ukrainians abroad can undergo identification at Ukrainian diplomatic missions.
The Pension Fund urges pensioners to prepare in advance and learn all details to ensure continuous benefit payments without interruption.
