Dnipro Court Revises Pretrial Restriction for Mykola Tishchenko and Bogdan Pisaranko, Replacing House Arrest with Personal Guarantees
On Thursday, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Dnipro made a significant decision regarding the pretrial measures for Member of Parliament Mykola Tishchenko and former police officer Bogdan Pisaranko.
Instead of the previous nighttime house arrest, the court approved a personal guarantee, a form of preventive measure that provides certain freedoms under specific conditions.
The duration of this guarantee was set until December 9th of this year.
It’s worth recalling that earlier, both individuals had their preventive measures extended from two months of nighttime house arrest to October 21st.
The next hearing for this case is scheduled for November 10th.Additionally, it should be noted that in June 2024, a tense incident occurred in Dnipro when unidentified individuals attacked former Kraken special unit fighter Dmytro Mazokha during a walk with his child.
Video evidence and investigations revealed that the protection detail of MP Tishchenko was involved in the incident.
Later, law enforcement agencies officially notified Tishchenko of suspicion related to these events.
The case also involves previous judicial procedures: in June, Kyiv’s Pecherskyi District Court placed Tishchenko under round-the-clock house arrest, requiring him to wear an electronic bracelet and surrender foreign passports.
Following public controversy and observations of violations, the Kyiv Court of Appeal extended his pretrial measure in November.
In December 2024, Tishchenko missed a court session citing heart problems but appeared later in January 2025 at the Verkhovna Rada.
In January, the court re-applied a 2-month period of constant house arrest.
In March 2025, the Dnipro Babushkinskyi District Court further extended this measure, and in May 2025, the court softened it, replacing the night house arrest with a milder version, imposing additional restrictions on the lawmaker and his associate.
