Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Condemns Propagandist Tours in Temporarily Occupied Territories and Vows Responsibility for Foreign Journalists

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly condemns the participation of international journalists in propaganda tours organized by Russia in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

spokesperson Hryhoriy Tykhyi emphasized that the Kremlin continues to deploy such measures to conceal its war crimes and to discredit Ukraine’s resistance.

“These tours are not journalistic investigations but tools for whitewashing war crimes committed in the occupied regions,” Tykhyi stated.

Furthermore, he announced that every foreign journalist crossing the uncontrolled borders will face bans on entry and restrictions on media activities within Ukraine.

Ukraine also plans to appeal to the headquarters of these media outlets demand an official apology for their involvement in these propaganda initiatives.Amid this situation, Ukrainian diplomats report that 28 Ukrainian journalists remain in Russian prisons, and since the full-scale invasion, Russia has committed over 800 crimes against media freedom and journalists.

Additionally, Kremlin has launched a so-called “Junior Info-Trainee Course” aimed at school children as part of the information control strategy.Hryhoriy Tykhyi underlined that Russia’s censorship policies are aggressive, and what they show to children is far from reality.

“We have already begun identifying participants of these tours and will hold everyone involved accountable,” he remarked.

The Ukrainian government also responded firmly to Hungary’s proposal to cede part of Ukrainian territory for peace, reaffirming the country’s unwavering stance on defending its sovereignty and rejecting any territorial concessions.
