Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made an official statement about the outcomes of his negotiations with American leader Donald Trump during his return from Washington, emphasizing that considerable advances have been achieved in many key areas.

According to Erdogan, the meeting held on September 25 marked an important step towards strengthening strategic partnership between the two countries and opened new avenues for cooperation in trade and security. The main discussion revolved around measures to stimulate trade, including reviewing existing customs tariffs to boost trade volume to a targeted $100 billion.

Erdogan highlighted that significant progress was made in resolving these issues and noted a positive balance in the dialogue.”We left Washington feeling satisfied because the momentum toward solving core issues is clear.

Of course, it is difficult to resolve every problem in a single visit, but this trip has set the stage for extensive changes,” the Turkish president stated.Additionally, some important documents were signed during the visit.

Notably, a Memorandum of Strategic Civil Nuclear Cooperation was signed at the White House between Turkey and the United States, opening new prospects in the energy sector.

Trump also urged Erdogan to cease purchasing Russian oil, drawing attention to regional geopolitical concerns.
