Zelensky Warns: Russia Prepares Two Major Offensive Operations This Autumn
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with Sky News, issued a statement that raises international concern: according to him, the Russian Federation is actively preparing for the conduct of two large-scale offensive operations this fall.
The head of state emphasized that Ukrainian defense forces successfully thwarted two major Russian advances during the summer, while a third operation is still ongoing and its results will become clear in the coming days.
“We completely stopped two Russian offensive attempts; their plans are foiled.
As for the third one, I need another one or two days to make an official statement, but I can say now that the enemy has suffered significant losses and has achieved nothing,” Zelensky noted.
He added that the situation for Russian troops is deteriorating far more than they expected, and even worse, than what their leaders, Vladimir Putin and others, report.
According to the President, Ukraine must enhance its defensive capabilities, especially in long-range strike systems, and maintain sanctions pressure on Russia to reduce its aggressive potential and ensure security.
In his recent video address, Zelensky highlighted that the enemy has learned to quickly adapt to new wartime conditions, fighting at any time and against any opponent.
Therefore, Ukraine’s response must be strengthened through increased sanctions and advanced technology, particularly in missile and artillery capabilities, to keep the enemy in fear and prevent large-scale offensives.
International support, augmented defense systems, and ongoing diplomatic efforts remain crucial for stabilizing the situation and preventing further destruction.
