Zelensky Calls for Security Guarantees Supporting the U.S. and Europe: The Importance of Trump’s Clear Position
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed a strong and clear demand for guaranteed security arrangements that would support both the United States and European Union in their efforts to ensure stability and security for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.
He emphasized that the pursuit of long-term and explicit security guarantees for Ukraine must become a key element in ending hostilities and stabilizing the situation.
Zelensky addressed his American counterpart, Donald Trump, urging him to define a concrete political stance capable of stopping Vladimir Putin’s aggression and paving the way for lasting peace.
He highlighted that a genuine cessation of military actions can only be achieved through international agreements supported by the U.S.
and widely represented European partners.
The head of state also expressed hope that during Trump’s upcoming visit to Europe, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak would raise the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine and hold a specific discussion on this matter, as without a clear and united position, the path to peace will remain difficult.
According to Zelensky, transparent and honest agreements will serve as a barrier to further Russian aggression and help establish a robust security system for Ukraine based on U.S.
and European support.
The Ukrainian leader stressed that without decisive action and firm commitments from the United States and its allies, achieving a stable peace and security in the region will be impossible.
