U.S. Administration Approves NATO-Funded Aid Packages to Ukraine: Launch of New Arms Supply Mechanism
The approval of the initial military assistance packages to Ukraine marks a significant milestone in the ongoing support provided by NATO allies under the leadership of the Donald Trump administration.
According to sources within military and government circles, U.S.
armed forces and alliance partners are actively working to implement this decision, which will enable the delivery of modern weaponry to Ukraine in the very near future.
This marks the first testing of a new mechanism, developed jointly by the United States and NATO member countries, designed for the swift and targeted transfer of weapons from American reserves directly to Ukrainian territory, leveraging alliance resources.
The sources indicate that Deputy Defense Secretary Elbridge Colby approved two separate aid packages, each totaling 500 million dollars, utilizing the new mechanism called the Ukrainian Priority Requirements List, or PURL.
This initiative aims to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities in response to daily challenges and threats on the front line.
While the details of this operation remain confidential, it stands as a clear signal of international solidarity and cooperation in supporting Kyiv during these difficult times.
